Self-Care as Strength: Honoring Women & Restoring Balance
Strength is often measured by what we endure, how much we give, and how well we keep going despite the weight of it all. But what if strength is also found in the pause? In the deliberate act of stepping away, replenishing, and reclaiming our energy?

Two Facial Add Ons You Need This Fall
The most essential seasons to get your skin on track are the transitional ones like Fall and Spring. For your best holiday glow, use November to get a peel with your next facial to shed away the skin that no longer serves you. Getting your skin prepped now for the winter months ahead is a must to strengthen the barrier and boost its moisture and radiance.

What is Sustainable Fashion? Natural Textiles vs Synthetic
Buzzwords like ‘natural’ and ‘green’ make it a challenge to discern whether or not something is truly sustainable these days. Sustainability and how it’s achieved is a different path in every industry. At BODY, we breathe in sustainability within every department, especially with our garments. When it comes to fashion, there are two questions we ask when we buy: Are the fabrics and dyes sustainably sourced? Is the clothing ethically produced? While the requirements for sustainability and ethical production are different, they both follow the same ethos of doing as much good as possible when it comes to clothing.
How Massages Can Help Release Trauma from the Body
Tension is your body’s way of staying alert for the next threat. Let that sink in. While working through trauma is essential emotionally, pairing your mental health therapy sessions with massage is truly ‘doing the work’ to ensure the emotional releases you’re experiencing move their way through the body. A somatic massage for instance focuses on a mind-body connection using emotional awareness to connect to the physical. This process helps release blockages in our bodies, creating space for relaxation and calm.

International Day of Yoga
On International Yoga Day, we observe this Hindu philosophy and meditation practice with the ritual that has changed the lives of millions across the globe. It’s no doubt that yoga is an invigorating exercise, but its origin is much more than that. At BODY, we celebrate yoga with daily classes rooted in intention and community to ground and relax students.

Hydra Facial MD 2.0
When trying the new Hydra Facial MD 2.0 at BODY, I anticipated lustrous skin but what I didn’t expect was for this facial to crack the code in bottling up the glow of a fresh facial for weeks to come. If you’re not familiar with a Hydra Facial MD it’s an effective resurfacing and anti-aging treatment that utilizes Hydradermabrasion technology. You can expect benefits like the improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, hyperpigmentation, congested pores, and uneven skin tone (a big one for me). If you’ve had a Hydra Facial MD, you know how incredible it makes your skin look, here's what makes the 2.0 different…

Our cafe is committed to rich Santa Fe soil
New Mexico, as the Land of Enchantment has a rich history wherever you choose to unearth it. From sitting in a vortex that pulls people in, to a deep reverence for the land we’re on. When we opened the new BODY cafe, we wanted to bring as much of New Mexico into the cafe as possible. For us, this meant a menu focuses on seasonality that directly supports New Mexican farmers. The Santa Fe Farmer’s Market is our weekly stop to bring you a true farm to table experience while maintaining our mission in sustainability; creating a fully whole foods plant-based menu.
Low-impact fitness is the new 'bootcamp'
As a circuits kind of fitness lover, I’ve often gravitated towards the HIIT classes that leave me drenched and spiked with cortisol. Speaking that into existence already sounds chaotic, but I’m getting to the part where I’m in my mid-30s seeking gentler modalities. I’m in the era where back and neck pain are regular end-of-day visitors and my social hour now consists of a heating pad, lathering CBD balm, and a good book *ah*. All this to say, I traded my HIIT (high-intensity interval training) class for low-impact pilates and I’m loving life. I wish I started this sooner, as you don’t need to leave a class breathless to see results. In fact, I leave Pilates feeling lengthened, relaxed, and stronger –– without the chronic fatigue HIIT classes give me.

How Sound Baths Can Heal The Body
It is through the universal laws of vibration that sound can stimulate consciousness shifts in the body. Vibrational instruments, like the native instruments WalkingStar uses, can facilitate clarity in the mind, body, and spirit that in turn allow us to stay more present. Sound healing can also clear energy blocks in our body's system that may keep us from reaching our full potential.

This Psoas massage felt like a spiritual therapy session
When I walked into my massage at BODY, I didn’t know about the Psoas and how it holds on to trauma. The Psoas is a muscle on either side of the spine attached to the femur and pelvis and is associated with our body’s fight or flight response.
